Do you have a visa? Don’t make this mistake

By Jeff Altman, Big Game Hunter

Jeff Altman, Big Game Hunter Discuss is a regular resume error people make working in the United States during an H-1B visa. This mistake causes people to angry individuals who were there to help them for jobs.

Don’t just follow a company on LinkedIn. Tell them that you are interested in working for them

This is Jeff Altman, Big Game Hunter. I am referred to as Big Game Hunter because I have been hunting managers and staff for organizations for more than 40 years. You know this video is for people with an H-1B visa and an encouragement to you.

Include your visa status on your resume. Let me be blunt with you. When I get a resume of someone who looks like they’ve been in the US for only a few years, I already know you’re on a visa.

However, I have to confirm it. Why? Because my clients very simply tell me that we will or do not transfer a visa. Now, when we talk to you how many of you have ever heard of someone being employed by an employer who did not want to make a visa transfer that said at the beginning of the search, no visa transfers and then turn around and say you know this person is so extraordinary we transfer their visa? It doesn’t happen.

The one miracle case can be exactly that. The one miracle case because I honestly have in my 40 years of search never heard of one. So just put it on your resume.

Now I understand, if you don’t have much time left on your visa, there is some urgent speed you have. I get that. But at the same time, you need to understand the effect that you are wasting a lot of people’s time without any place, without anything to be a point.

Now I can run an ad that says you know that basically indicates that my clients want people with a legal right to work in the US and are unwilling to transfer a visa. Why are you sending a resume to it? Other people make their version of it. At the end of the day, make it easy for everyone because it doesn’t just make it a huge time of time.

I’m Jeff Altman. Hope you found this useful. If you did, share it, leave a comment, click the Like button.

How far can you go?

If we are not connected to LinkedIn, send a connection request. And that is true if you have an H1B visa or not, no matter what your residence status in the US, I am very happy to accept a LinkedIn connection. My one provision is that I do not accept them from recruiters.

I do not accept them from profiles that look like they are spammers or scammers. My page there is thebiggamehunter.us. Follow my company, Big Game Hunter incorporated on LinkedIn because you get job messages I work for, as well as new videos. If your current company tries to hire someone, send me an e email to Jeffaltman at Thebiggamehunter.us. Tell me who to contact and whether to name your name.

I would very much like to help your regular staff positions. Last point. Whatever your residence status is, resumes and LinkedIn profiles need to be perfect these days.

I criticize. I’m not writing them from scratch. Send me a request or order a resume and or profile criticism on my website, Thebiggamehunter.us. I would very much like to work on your things and make it exquisite.

This is Jeff Altman. Have a nice day.
