Andy Bell confirms his place in reunited OASIS setup

As the questions about Oasis’ quick access association tour continuing to swirl, long-time bassist Andy Bell has confirmed his presence within the lineup.

Bell’s presence was confirmed in a recent conversation with Austrian outlets OE24There was talking to Bell after a performance in the country on his bonding. “Yes, I’m in and I’m really looking forward to it,” Bell noted. “We’re seeing each other on tour. Or rather, you want to see me because I can hardly see you in the audience!”

News about Bell’s commitment got traction in March after Nme reported that “sources that work closely with the band and the tour” had outlined who would perform with Gallaghers on stage this year.

At the time of their split in 2009, OASIS officially contained Save Archer on guitar, where Bell assumes bass, guitar and keyboards. A number of touring drummers had been behind the kit since Alan “Whitey” White 2004, with Chris Sharrock, who held the beat of their last shows.

According to the March Report, the upcoming version of the band would see Gallaghers along with Archer and Bell with Oasis co-founder Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs and Joey Waronker, who previously appeared with strap, Beck, Roger Waters and more.

“NME tells me who your source pots are that will continue to give you info about OASIS, and I’ll give you an exclusive interview about up n coming oasis tour,” Liam Gallagher wrote in response to the report. “You can have it all, but how much do you want it.”

Bell – who had appeared in Oasis since 1999 and later joined Liam Gallagher, Archer and Sharrock as a member of Beady Eye – triggered earlier speculation about a reunion from the group in April 2024 when asked by Virgin Radio UK’s Andy Goldstein, if the band could ever appear together.

“I would say a qualified yes, I think they will at the end of the day,” Bell said. “I don’t think it looks likely right now, but I think life is far, isn’t it?”

Liam Gallagher responded to Bell’s comments on social media and wrote, “Andy Bell from Ride The Shoe, who stared the phenomenon, really shouldn’t get people’s hope up, it’s not big, and it’s not wise.”

When he was pressed by a fan who claimed that Bell simply noticed what Gallagher himself had claimed in the past, the vocalist claimed, “I have never mentioned the Oasis Geno Association, it is over, we all really have to move in for our own mental health.”

So far, OASIS has set up more than 40 dates for their live ’25 outing, which will hit stadiums in the UK, North America, Asia, Australia and South America from July to November. So far, the only participants have been confirmed by Gallaghers to appear, the brothers themselves – who have not shared a scene since August 2009.

News on Bell’s self-affirmation comes shortly after Alec McKinlay, who leads the band’s ignition control and Big Brother recordings, Oasis’ UK-Label, contested allegations from Liam Gallagher that the band had a new album in the works.

“This is very last time Noel has made it clear in the press,” McKinlay said in an interview with Music Week Published Tuesday (May 13). “It’s a chance for fans who haven’t seen the band see them, or at least for some of them to. But no, there’s no plan for any new music.”
