The celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Vive Latino festival turned into a big party on Saturday (March 15), with rhythms such as Rock and Cumbia, which took the middle scene through the voices of some of their biggest exponents, including Mexican bands Caifanes, Los Ángeles Azules and El Gran Silencio.

On its first activity day, the musical collection that returned after a year gathered to its original place at Estadio GDP Seguros (formerly Foro Sol), according to Promotor Ocesa.

One of the most expected and applauded performances was by the legendary group of Los Ángeles Azules, which made a victorious return to the popular music festival 12 years after their memorable debut. Meanwhile, Caifanes added a social touch by tackling themes such as the crisis for femicides in Mexico and migration during their main scene.

There were big surprises, just as the much -expected debut of the new artist Macario Martínez at Vive Latino. In addition to his solo act on the Carpa intolerant scene, he was invited to perform with the band Little Jesus. Emotional highlights of a day’s marathon included the appearance of Molotov’s guitarist and vocalist, Tito Fuentes, who joined his bandmates near their set to celebrate the band’s 30th anniversary after he previously announced he was taking a health-related hiatus.

Emmanuel “Meme” del real, keyboardist for the popular band Café Tacvba, also delivered one of the most special performances showing new songs from his solo repertoire. Another prominent moment came from the German band Scorpions, who fulfilled a promise to their Mexican fans after canceling their performance at the festival last year.

Day One of the festival also saw appearances from Spanish and English -speaking actions, including Nortec: Bostich + Fussible, Él Mató a FN Policía Motorizado, promoting the people, Guapos, Caloncho and Jesse Baez.
