How to become more disciplined

1. Introduce clarity of the final results

There is no way to achieve goals and create new success stories without being productive and disciplined. However, many times large plans and ideas do not remain used and never striking the earth in real life. Law and postponement often explain delays or inability to intervene and is sometimes incorrectly interconnected. There is even a common assumption that exposure is caused by laziness, which is rarely true. On the one hand, the introduction of discipline and commitment to thoughts and processes can help overcome laziness. On the other hand, postponement can be reduced by introducing more clarity on the final results, define tasks that will make a real difference – needle migrants – and undergo emotional well -being and commitment levels. – EMI Olausson Fourounjieva, Transformation Coach for senior leaders

2. Plan, action, be guided and celebrate

Being disciplined gives you more freedom. Have a plan to keep up with clarity and focus. Block time for mission -critical action steps and avoid wasting time on “shiny object activities”. Have a responsibility partner, coach or mentor who guides you, inspires and allows you to get things done. Last but not least, celebrate your winnings, big or small. – Renate Prandl, High Performance Transformation Coach

3. Commit to a timeline

Put yourself on your calendar, commit to 1 to 2 hours to complete the project, and create a finish date that makes you responsible. – Rev Joanne Angel Barry Colon,Wholistic Personal Trainer

4. Take small steps

No one will think they are lazy. No one wants to postpone. People have lazy times, usually in response to times when they have reached exhaustion. People have times when they expose what arises because they avoid dealing with something emotionally hard for them. In both cases you have to ask yourself, “What is possible now? What can I do to move the needle forward in some way?” Don’t think about taking a Gargantuian step unless you’re ready to take one. Instead, do something. Small steps forward will help you achieve what you want. Do it again. And again. You find that if you continue to do this, you will have moved your mind and completed what you need to do. – Jeff Altman, Leadership and executive coach

5. Change your point of view

To overcome your trends against deferral, you have to find ways to change your point of view that it is boring or that you do not like it/will not do it and make the work more fun for you. Ask yourself: What would make this task more fun? Can you take on some music? Dancing some physical activities or dancing around your house to get you pumped up? Call in a friend to get help? What if it doesn’t have to be hard or boring? – Dr. Adriana Popescu, Clinical Psychologist and Empowerment Coach

6. Treaty time with respect

Timing is everything! It’s about having an action plan that guarantees careful consideration by taking steps to perform a task. Deferral crawls up when the time is too open. Nothing breeds laziness more than time not invested in completing a task or project. When time is treated with respect, the individual begins to treat it as a valuable asset. The best advice is to create a task list and add a time to start and complete it. Adding the tasks to an electronic device is useful to stay available when you’re on the go. Having a written agenda with the goods on a calendar plan is useful to keep organized and remain in goal. If a task is incomplete, assign it to another day of extra priority for buffer. Having a quick look at the end of the week to make sure everyone is completed or reassessed will help stay in the flow of getting things done. Time buffers need to be added to move things around that are flexible with due dates. Finally, has a responsibility partner who will help you. – Paula Orezi, Author and talking

7. Plan everything

One way of conquering laziness and postponement is to get a schedule and calendar. You need to plan the things you need to achieve all day. Plan your meetings, phone calls and even your lunch. This way you do not work around the clock and you get things done and now burned out at the end of the day. – Pixie Lee, Business Coach

8. Visualize the end result

From cleaning up the storage room to finishing an important project – in the middle of all other noisy and happy distractions – there are some techniques I love to use:

  • Visualize the end result! Imagine the storage room clean and empty, and get your grandmother’s table stuck and ready for use in the charming space of your home. With your work project, write the first draft, feel like it’s already done, ready and recognized as excellent in the office!

  • Plan it all, hour by hour; Use soft colors for things you may allow yourself to cancel, by order of meaning and stronger colors for things you need to tackle no matter what.

  • Remember that being lazy carries your self-love, so take a mini-action step right away. You will feel happier when you visualize, plan and love yourself more!
