FResh out of the back of revealing their first round of performing artists, SXSW Sydney has detailed the first wave of music speakers for his 2025 event.

The third excursion of the Australian event taking place in Sydney from 13 to 19 October will include “some of the world’s best thinkers, buyers and cultural producers,” according to a press release.

Leading charge for their first speaker message is Emmy Award-nominated Jen Malonethat is best known as one of Hollywood’s most sought -after music guides thanks to her credits such as EuphoriaAt WednesdayAt Mr. & Mrs. Smith And more.

Malone gets along with Dr. Marcus CollinsIt is known as an award -winning marketing professor, cultural translator and best -selling author, after having previously served as the former director of Digital Strategy for Beyoncé.

A number of international figures have been confirmed for the first round of speakers, including Senior Director of A&R at All Flowers International Label Group, Alex Berenson; Rareform’s Hallie Anderson; Technical entrepreneur Andrew Batey; and Brian HobbsDirector of Music Festival programming at SXSW.

Other international names added to the first round includes founder of the Hong Kongs Clockenflap Festival Justin Sweeting (Hong Kong); Apodaca Group and Pal Norte Festival’s Macarena González (Mexico); Meng Ru Kuok CEO for Caldecott Music Group (Singapore); Sally DunstoneAgent/Partner from Primary Talent (UK); and Lucy AtkinsonSenior Agent at ATC Live (MØ, Erika de Casier) (UK).

A strong quota of local names is also on the schedule for this year, including John WatsonPresident of Eleven Music and John Watson Management; Consultant of the music industry Jono Harrison; And host Sending your dirty laundry podcast, Daphne Berry.

The first round of music speakers joins a solid selection of artists already confirmed to the 2025 edition of SXSW Sydney, including Australian acts such as Swapmeet, Ricewine and Jamaica Moana, along with names from Ireland, Thailand, Japan, New Zealand and UK

Additional speakers and artists are expected to be announced in the coming months, with more than 300 international and domestic artist performances to appear in the final plan.
