Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are officially divorced and legally single.
From Friday (February 21), Los Angeles County ended the Superior Court resolution of their marriage and confirmed their legal single status, according to Associated Press. The couple reached a divorce settlement on January 6th.
The Court’s documents revealed that Lopez, 55, and Affleck, 52, settled through mediation in September and successfully avoided the long court matches that have plagued other high -profile celebrities.
Lopez and Affleck first started dating in 2002 after the meeting in the set of Gigli. They engaged, but interrupted their wedding in 2004. Almost two decades later, they revived their romance in 2021 and tied the knot in a Georgia ceremony the following year.

The singer and actress filed divorce from Affleck about two years after their Georgia wedding and indicated their date of separation as April 26, 2024. In her original filing, she quoted “irreconcilable differences” as the cause of their divide.
As per the settlement documents obtained by BillboardThe couple agreed on conditions to divide their properties and assets. Both waived spouse’s support and agreed to just divide the legal fees for their negotiation, which were communicated by Laura Wasser. Lopez will also change his legal name back from Jennifer Affleck to Jennifer Lopez.
Lopez was previously married to Ojani Noa, Cris Judd and Marc Anthony, with whom she shares two children. Affleck was previously married to Jennifer Garner, with whom he shares three children.
In October 2024, Lopez reflected on her feelings about being single again after her split from Affleck.
