Miley Cyrus puts family first. On the heels by dropping her new single, the ballad “More to Lose”, the singer released a statement on Saturday (May 10) in response to rumors of a rift with parents Tish and Billy Ray.
“I rarely comment on rumors,” Miley noted in an update that was shared via Instagram story in her official account. “But my mom and I are too tight to all that ever comes between us. She’s my best friend.”
“Like many mothers, she doesn’t know how she works on her phone and somehow followed me – gathered, randomly and unattractive,” she said, referring to mumbling that Tish had reportedly followed her on the social media app earlier this week.
Her statement continued: “My father and I have had our challenges over the years. Now, in my thirty, the family is my priority above all else. I am at peace by knowing that bridges have been built and time has done a lot of healing.”
“Grateful for the good health and love that flows through my family,” Miley concluded her message.
Fans had expressed concern about the alleged who followed in various comments on Tish’s recent Instagram post, which she replied that she did not know she had apparently been following her daughter. “Have no idea how it happened, but it’s resolved now!” Read Tish’s response to one of these comments on Wednesday, May 7th. On Wednesday, Billy Ray had sent a video clip with Miley that appeared on the piano with the headline, “Can’t wait to see this young lady. Crazy how time flies.”
On Friday he uploaded a snapshot of himself with his son Braison, plus Miley and her boyfriend Maxx Morando, all for celebration of Braison’s birthday.
Miley’s new song “More to Lose” is out of the upcoming album Something beautifulA 13-track collection to go out on May 30. It will be the follow -up to 2023’s Infinite summer vacationwhich was led by the Grammy-winning, Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 Single “Flowers”; Infinite summer vacation Reached # 3 on the Billboard 200 album diagram.
“I tried to keep it a unique roof,” she shared with fans about recording the emotional track “more to lose.” “It’s really a song that is more of a story and I never want it to be interrupted or over -thought or chase perfection. I’ve never wanted ‘more to lose’ to be perfect, I wanted it to sound beautiful and emotional.”
During a special evening with Spotify last week, Cyrus gave more insight into Something beautifulreveals the overall theme of the album as “Beauty but not what beauty represents by a standard of someone else’s idea.” In another sound bit from the event, she said to cheer from audience “On a scale, I think one to gay, where gay is this album? It is not only my best album but also my gay.”
