With this race, the album becomes the longest race # 1 by a country artist in Australia for almost a decade since Lee Kernaghan’s Anzac’s spirit spent four weeks at the summit in 2015. The constant country record remains Shania Twains Come onwho dominated for 20 non-contemporary weeks in 1999.
Wallen also creates waves on the Aria Singles diagram and lands on No. 14 this week with “What I Want” with Tate McRae.
Speaking of McRae, the Canadian Pop Star debuting at No. 5 with “Just Keep Eye”, her contribution to the Brad Pitt led F1 Soundtrack. The track, co-written by Ryan Tedder from On-Rublic, becomes her 11th top 20-hit on the Aria diagram. Her highest-charts single to date, “greedy”, topped on No. 2 in 2023.
Meanwhile Taylor Swift’s Reputation Rockets from No. 34 to No. 2 this week after the news that she has secured the master rights for her first six albums. Four of them – Fearless (Taylor’s version)At Red (Taylor’s version)At Talk now (Taylor’s version) and 1989 (Taylor’s version) -s have been recorded and released. The exceptions are Reputation and her self -tainted debut in 2006. In recent interviews, Swift has confirmed that she has completed “less than a quarter” Reputation (Taylor’s version). The original album used earlier two weeks at No. 1 in 2017.
Miley Cyrus also goes into the album card this week with Something beautiful Debuted at No. 4. It is her ninth studio album and eighth to map inside the top 20 in Australia. Three of her albums have gone all the way to No. 1 – Breakout (2008), Bangerz (2013) and Infinite summer vacation (2023). Like Hannah Montana, she also mapped out three top 20 albums.
On the Aussie front, beloved indie-rockers cloud control will again the Aria albums diagram at No. 19 with their debut in 2010 Bliss releaseAfter their surprise association after a seven-year hiatus. The album originally peaked at No. 20 and earned the band’s critical recognition and a devoted local afterwards. Their highest-charts release remains DREAM CAVEthat reached No. 9 in 2013.
Finally, Alex Warren’s “Plain” is on No. 1 at the Aria Single Chart for an 11th week. Streak ties it with seven other long-lasting maps in Australian history, including wings’ Mull of Kintyre, “Bryan Adams'” (all I do), I do it for you, “Spice Girls'” Wannabe “, Drake’s Plan”, Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights”, 24 Kgolden and Iann Dores “and Glass” “” “” Lights “, 24kgoldn and Iann’s” Mood “and Glass” and Glass “” “Hedes”, “Hedes”.
