Should a recruiter be obliged to explain specifically why a candidate is not chosen to move forward?
Such ace a job interview
Should a recruiter be obliged to explain specifically why a candidate is not chosen to move forward? Now I want to answer this question from both third -party recruiter perspective as well as from the perspective of a company recruiter.
From a third -party recruiter, the messengers are for a company, and the company often does not reveal anything more than, “Yes, we thought the person was too easy.” Sometimes a company will say, “We saw stronger people.” And your reaction can be, “Okay, which way were they stronger than me? I can prove that I am stronger.” And frankly, it’s too late and maybe you’re more concerned about learning from the experience. But third -party recruiters work for employers, they don’t work for you, and you may find it disgusting for me to say, but the fact is that you don’t pay them anything.
A third party recruiter is employed by an employer; They are hired by an employer on a withheld or emergency basis to locate talent for this company. If the information they receive in the way of feedback can be embarrassing to the company, they will often protect you from it for fear that you will, you know, call their client, say terrible things, and frankly their client will not hear it. They don’t care at the time; You have been rejected, rejected. Should they be obliged? How do you buy their commitment? What do you pay for their commitment? The answer is nothing. They are not obliged to tell you something and the result wins to be, not kid yourself, do not believe that this recruiter will answer your questions because you want to know.
You know you ask, “Should they be required to explain specifically why you were not chosen to move on?” I will tell you exactly why you were chosen not to move forward: they did not like your background on paper. It did not fit what they were looking for, and that is why your resume did not get it.
Why do more companies trust video interviews?
