I can’t think of getting dopier interview errors than this!
10 Common CV Error to avoid
Hi, I’m Jeff Altman, Big Game Hunter. And I am the main coach of JobSEARCHOACHINGHQ.COM. I talked to a friend of mine who is a recruiter. And she works across the country.
And she talked about a task she performed in Puerto Rico. And on this assignment, she is asked to interview people to work at a call center. And she is asked to assess for oral and written communication skills.
So she does. And she finds some people who are very well spoken and some that are not as you would expect. And she also notes that some of the proven individuals are rejected by the hiring of leaders.
And she and her partner ask, why is it? Why are these people rejected? It is difficult to find native English speakers in Puerto Rico. What is the problem? And then she talked to a few of the employment managers and she found the magical answer. And after the title of this video, you know what it seems to be unmotivated.
Put yourself in the seat of an employment manager. Hiring leaders has a problem. They want someone who can solve this problem.
Now I know it’s hot in Puerto Rico. And the association with hot is dull. It’s hot out.
I feel like being lethargic. It’s hard to move around. Sin.
Mistake of Career Manager: 10 things you might be doing wrong
Get over it. What you need to do is always look like to be excited and motivated on your interviews. To see sluggish or dull or dry, or I dare say, even lazy and unmotivated is the kiss of death, no matter what job you are interviewing, no matter where in the world this is.
Employers have a problem. You are there to solve it. They are not there to kiss your ass and make you fall in love with them.
They want you to fight for this job, beg for this job, be excited about this job even when you are not. And so do you. So this way you get lots of job offers, you know, lots of job offers.
So then you can go, okay, I think I pay the most or it doesn’t pay the most, but it has the best upside or it doesn’t pay the most. But I don’t have to work. . . Whatever it is, you can choose and choose between different alternatives. If unmotivated, stupid, take your right hand, move it near your forehead, now hit.
Don’t do anything that is mute. And if you are doing stupid things like this, you need JobSearch Coachinghq.com, which is my site where you get lots of good information to help you find work. Because job hunting doesn’t have to be hard, difficult, painful or take so long.
It’s just you don’t know what you’re doing. So you do it wrong. And then you wonder if you don’t get a job.
And you won’t do it. Instead of going out on a lot of stupid interviews or meaningless interviews, and it’s meaningless because you’re not prepared, let me help you. I’ve got videos, podcasts, articles, books, me that to help you.
I am answering your questions. We’re planning a few minutes to talk. You ask me a question, get it resolved so you don’t have to worry.
