Have a job offer ever left you to feel offended, ie Because the salary was too low or something else like that?
How can I see another person’s LinkedIn profile without them knowing?
Has a job offer ever left you to feel offended because wages were too low or something else like that?
This is not my story because I have been self -employed for a long time. But people emotionally forget that this is business. And as such, as Al Pacino said in The Godfather 3, no, it’s Godfather 1, “It’s its business, it’s not personal.” He looked up at his brother at the time when he decided he wanted UH to take a crooked policeman and an opponent trying to kill his father.
So the very simple thing I want to say is that if you get emotional over this, it’s because you’ve been emotionally invested in a job. And frankly, you have lost your leverage at that time because you have lost your objectivity.
Maybe it’s because you weren’t as skilled as you thought you were. Have you done your research on your real value? Now I’m not saying you’re talking to a friend of you who said, “Oh, you should make such and how you know, this particular skill.” No, your friend is another doofus, just like you are, so not kid yourself, your friends know almost nothing.
The only people who know your value are the market. And if you have four turn-downs and you get a low offer, there is a message in it: You are not as good as you think you are at the value you claim.
So take it as information, don’t take it as a fact. Take it as meaning, don’t take it as a fact. And from there, you have to make a decision whether or not you are really worth value. And there you can talk to a coach, a recruiter – not the recruiter who represents you because they obviously have an interested interest in taking this job – a trainer, a recruiter, uh, friends – not your wife, husband or partner because they may know as little as you do – but start talking to knowledgeable people in your field about what your real value is.
Here’s how I evoke a lack of information
