Here are 4 easy to implement ways to be more inclusive for LGBTQ+ job applicants and employees.
You can fix dumb
To be more inclusive for LGBTQ+ potential hires and employees, It only takes a few steps:
1. When you interview you can see the other person in their family as husband, wife or spouse regardless of gender. It becomes a signal of inclusive.
2. Begin proactively correcting your team’s language So you remove some of the jokes, wisecracks and the comments that are heteronormative rather than being inclusive.
3. Be open to be fixed. You will also make mistakes. I know I have it and it’s wonderful when someone trusts me enough to fix me.
4. Be inclusive of spouse and children in their family. To make sure a business works, everyone feels welcome.
